About the Third Chinese-Foreign University Presidents Forum

The Third Chinese-Foreign University Presidents Forum sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China will be held in Shanghai from July 12 to 18, 2006.

The Third Chinese-Foreign University Presidents Forum of 2006 will focus on the topic ¡°University innovation and service¡±, concerning two themes: 1) creative talent cultivating in 21st century: models and experiences; 2) how scientific and technological, theoretical innovation in universities serves for economic and social development. The Forum will include both plenary sessions for lectures and panel discussions as well as round-table meetings.

Dr. Zhou Ji, the Chinese Minister of Education has invited 15 presidents from renowned universities in France, Germany, the UK, and the USA to speak at the forum. On the Chinese side, 129 Chinese university presidents will attend the Forum.

Concerned Departments of the Chinese Ministry of Education are working with the National Academy of Educational Administration (NAEA) to make this event a success. The secretariat of the Preparatory Committee is located at the NAEA. If you have any suggestions and comments, please send to:
